Exodus 14:21-22 | A Verse A Day

God will make a way. The Israelites had a sea on one side and their enemies on the other, and their enemies were faster and better armed. They were out of time and out of ways to go– until God split the sea for them to cross.

They crossed on dry ground.

God could have split the sea, and the Israelites would’ve been happy crossing on the mud. They needed to get out of there. But God pays attention to the details. He does things with excellence. He didn’t just provide a way, he made it dry. It’s easier to walk on dry ground than mud. It’s cleaner, too. God does miracles to show his glory, and he does them well.

Don’t underestimate what God will do for you. Even if you don’t see a way, God has one.

What is an area you need to raise your hands and let God work in?

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.
